Good morning!

Yesterday was the first day of a 2 day juice fast, I would've liked it to been at least a 7 day fast, but after spending $135 on the organic produce I may be able to stretch it to 4 days.

I have found out that my juicer sucks.  It is a Hamilton Beach that also has a food processor attachment that my kids got me a few years ago.  It is the kind that has a fine mesh bowl with mincing blades in the bottom to mince/shred the produce as it spins the pulp out to a collection bin and the juice trickles out a spout into your glass.  Well, because of the design, I have to take it apart, scrape the mesh bowl then scrub it with a brush to get all the little holes clean so I can dig the pulp out of the container(which is poorly designed as it has very sharp, tiny corners and weird bump outs) and reprocess it to get the most juice, then clean it again for the next item.

It should of only taken at the very most half hour to process enough juice for the day, but it took almost 4 hours!

As I get better at blogging I will upload pictures of my juices, smoothies and food along with the machines needed.

I hope you have a wonderful day, I wish you Enough!

Hello, my name is Kimberlee and this is my journey with Fatty Liver Disease.

This is my very first blog, so it is sure to get better!!   This blog is about my journey with Fatty Liver disease.  My doctor told me I had a fatty liver a couple of months ago, so not really knowing what it was, I looked it up online and scared the shit out of myself.

Half of what I read said there was no cure and I would probably die from the problems associated with FLD (Fatty Liver Disease).  The other half was a little more positive but still had no really information other than slowly lose weight.

So this blog is about my journey, the way I am starting to live my life, the foods I am eating, my ups, downs and pains, what works for me and what doesn't.

I am still young (at heart anyway!) and refuse to believe there is nothing I can do, I mean really, the liver regenerates itself correct!?

I have decided to move to a combination of Paleo Diet, RawFood Diet, and Gluten-free Diet.   In my naivety, I assumed this would be fairly easy, but it is so much harder than I thought.  Where I live, it is not possible to get organic produce or grass-fed, antibiotic, hormone free or wild caught meat - I have to travel at least an hour away or order it online...kinda defeats the whole low impact on environment, buy local thing.

I found out today that the juicer I have is not good for the kind of result I want...and my blender is also not up to what I need.  So not only do I have the cost (outrageous cost of organic food) of travel and shipping, I also now have the cost of replacing the tools I need to live.

I refuse to believe that there is nothing I can do to improve my health.   This is my journey, my choices, my lessons.  I am willing to share my experience and hope, but please do not think in anyway am I telling you to follow my lead.  You must make your life choices with your doctor.
